Public Landing Pages⚓︎

Public Landing Pages give every machine its own URL, accessible by scanning a QR code attached to the physical unit. Customers, partners, and employees scan the code and immediately reach the right documentation for that specific machine — no login required for public content.

Digital Product Passports and EU compliance⚓︎

Public Landing Pages are well-suited for companies building a Digital Product Passport (DPP) — a machine-level record of documentation and product data that follows the physical asset throughout its lifecycle.

The EU Machinery Regulation (EU 2023/1230) will make digital product documentation legally permissible from 2027. OEMs will be able to fulfill documentation requirements in digital form rather than printing and distributing paper manuals. For compliant digital documentation, the regulation requires that it be:

  • Easily accessible
  • Free of paywalls
  • Available for 10 years after the machine is placed on the market

KNOWRON handles the infrastructure requirements for this: long-term hosting, document version control, machine-specific accuracy, and guaranteed availability throughout the compliance window. The QR code stays the same even as documentation is updated — no reprinting required.

Beyond compliance

A well-structured landing page is also a digital touchpoint for support, sales, and marketing. Every machine you ship becomes a direct channel to your customers.

Key capabilities⚓︎

What's on a landing page⚓︎

Each landing page is tied to a specific machine and contains:

  • Machine specification details — technical data, dimensions, power ratings, and other key attributes
  • An external link of your choice — for example, your support portal or product page
  • AI Assistant access — powered only by the documents you select as sources for that machine
  • Selected knowledge base content — specific Documents, Articles, and Tutorials you choose to expose

Three access tiers from one QR code⚓︎

The same QR code delivers three different levels of information depending on who scans it. You control what each audience sees.

Public⚓︎

Anyone with physical access to the machine can scan the code. This tier is not indexed by search engines and can optionally be PIN-protected.

Best for: Marketing brochures, compliance documents (conformity declarations, certificates), machine specifications, and general product information.

All Clients⚓︎

Registered and authenticated external customers — for example, buyers of your machines — can log in to access a deeper layer of content.

Best for: User and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, support contact information, general troubleshooting guides, how-tos.

Internal⚓︎

Authenticated employees of your organization see the full picture.

Best for: R&D notes, internal service bulletins, in-depth troubleshooting, maintenance logs, and field knowledge from experienced colleagues.

  • Client Spaces — give external customers their own authenticated workspace
  • Machine Inventory — manage the machines that power landing pages
  • Documents — upload and manage the documentation exposed on landing pages
